Need some Dry Ice?

Charlee would be thrilled to pick some up for you.....Holy Moly! I can't believe that our beautiful Charlee bug is an "Adult", or as she says; "she can finally purchase Dry Ice, legally ". We are so blessed to be her Parents, she has been such a great kid thus far, better than we ever were as Teens. She is planning to get her RN, and decide down the road what she would like to specialize in. Happy Birthday, to our kind thoughtful, intelligent, spiritual, gorgeous girl! Thanks for the example you are for your younger Sister's and Brother. We sure love you.... By the way I think I am about to come out of my blogging funk.

Birthday Update!

Okay I have been a terrible blog Mommy lately! I have failed to recognize my youngest gorgeous children on their Birthdays this summer; Brooklyn turned 8 and was Baptized, she is a Beautiful little light in our Family, and is Smart as a whip! Mr. Porter turned 7, all boy and looks just like his Daddy! He is still "broccoli", we measure quite often, and we do have hope for "Asparagus" status eventually! And last, but not least Emmilyn "Emmi" is now 11 going on 25...She is beautiful, extremely thoughtful and intelligent! We are beyond blessed to have these 3 amazing spirits in our care, and as a part of our Family. We are definitely WEALTHY with Children!

A JOYous reunion...

Charlie R. Joy, 86 years old, died quietly in his sleep Thursday, 8/27/09; joining his beloved wife of 63 years, Nina Farnsworth Joy, who passed in 2006. A native Arizonan, Charlie was born September 19, 1922, in Flagstaff. He’s well-remembered as a construction superintendent building many roads and bridges still in use today and also for his years training and racing Thoroughbreds at large tracks throughout the Western United States. Charlie had an inventive mind, a helping hand, a generous heart, and great humor and talent as a story teller.
He is “Dad” to daughters Charlene Baker of Sun City and Charlotte Hall of Camp Verde and son Bob Joy of Phoenix. He blessed many lives, especially those who knew him as “Grandpa Joy”, great-grandfather... This was the obituary, but there is no way that any small article could do him Justice. My Grandpa was an amazing man who respected and loved his "sweetheart" most of his life, he taught us about love. We will miss him, but we are so happy in the knowledge that he is with Grandma now, and we can be with both of them again some day. They were both such a big part of my life. After My Mom and little sister were killed in the car accident, they took care of me, it was a scary time for me, but Grandpa could always make me laugh even if it wasn’t appropriate and it made Grandma a little crazy.. I now realize that my sometimes”naughty” sense of humor is definitely genetic. Grandpa and Grandma took me with them wherever they needed to go. I remember getting to Turf Paradise (the Track)before daylight, every morning, I loved going and feeling like I was helping them at work. To this day the smell of coffee, Danish and Horses makes me feel all warm inside! I spent time with them every summer throughout my youth, my Grandpa taught me to do the "two-step", but there was nothing better than watching he and Grandma dance together. We have no doubt that they shared a dance as they met again... His funeral was amazing; he was SO loved and respected by everyone he knew, there were people at his service who had worked for him, raced horses with him and of course his posterity.... We LOVE you.

Mommy

Well I guess it is my turn to post about my mommy, this is Stephanie. =] As allof you no there WAS a blood sucker named James inside of her. She had her surgery yesterday and the doctor said it went great. My grandpa, Bob, came and picked us kids up to go down and see her. When he got to our house he told us that before she went in for the surgery she looked up and said, "I am high!" and started giggling. :) When we got to the hospital my dad still hadn't even seen her. The nurse dude came to take us back to see her. She, of course, had a cup of ice in her hand with a spoon sticking out of the cup. Dad asked her if she wanted a bite she said yes as he dug around in the cup for a piece she looked at me, pointed to the cup, wiggled her eye brows up and down, and gave me a big goofy grin. She has done so much for me and everyone she meets. She has enriched my life and I love her to death! Though sometimes not on purpose, she always makes me laugh, even when she is in a ton of pain. She is a wonderful, smart, and beautiful woman. She reminds me regularly of how cute she is by putting her hand on her hip, looking in the mirror, striking a pose, and saying, "I am sooo cute!" Love you mommy!!! =D Get better quickly!!

Good News..

Hooray! The only thing that "James" can do to me is take my blood. The Biopsy came back negative, which is a positive thing. Now to get rid of him...The Doc. said she would work on going straight for the whole enchilada, and do the partial hysterectomy, so I won't have to go through the other 2 procedures first.
When I saw Loren had posted about my plight I was a feeling a little embarrassed, and exposed, like everyone didn't need to know this junk, but I have to admit that it has been nice and humbling to read your love and concern.
I feel very blessed, and thankful for all the people who care for me and my Family, thanks so so much for your Prayers, have I mentioned my Testimony of Prayer? Now to get my strength back, I am going to lay down for a while. I will let you know when we have finally slayed James.

A Waiting Game..

These days I am looking like a character from "Twilight", only something else is sucking my blood. I think I will call this blood sucking tumor James, he is a naughty Vampire, but Very goodlookin! ok, did I mention that being this anemic is effecting my thought process as well, I can't think straight, I'm a tad goofier than usual. I'm spending my time being totally exhausted like I have never felt before, my hands are already fatigued from typing, it's crazy. We are just waiting on the biopsy results, it could be another day or two. When those results are in, then the Dr. and my insurance company will decide the best course of action. If James isn't cancerous, which I don't think he will be, there are 2 different procedure/surgeries I will have, and if those don't work I will have a partial hysterectomy, obviously if it's cancer the insurance company will let me take out my Uterus right away. In the mean time I am just praying that whatever this is, that it will be treated appropriately and I will recover quickly. I am beyond humbled by the Love,Prayers, and service that my Family and I are recieving. Thank you so so much for your thoughts and prayers, I can feel Heavenly Father's hand in my life every day.
